Malam sabtu jam 12. Cikgu saba, roomate, balik kampung macam biasa pada setiap minggu. Aku tinggal sendirian. Mata dah meliut. Terlelap antara sedar dan tidak. Terdengar. Bunyi ketuk-ketuk. Kuat, depan pintu.
Aku bingkas bangun dan mahu buka pintu. Tapi. Bunyi beralih ke dinding kanan. Ke kanan, kanan, kanan, kanan. 360 darjah ikut jam dan kembali ke pintu. luar adalah koridor. bukan kerja manusia. permainan syaitan.
Aku naik berang. Senafas dengan 40 Bismillah, lantai aku tumbuk. Sunyi. Sepi.
Pintu aku buka, bilik sebelah kiri dan kanan aku masuk, kosong, bilik depan semua telah tidur. Memang bukan kerja manusia.
Malam itu, bilik dipasung secara batin.
